Gameplay Of Call of Duty: Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone features two game modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. While Battle Royale is a genre popularized by games like Fortnite, the “pillage” gameplay is related to the game’s coin mechanics and is unique to Warzone. It is the second installment of Battle Royale in the Call of Duty franchise, following the “Blackout” mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (2018).
Call of Duty: Warzone differs from Black Ops 4 by reducing dependency on equippable devices, and instead encourages the accumulation of a new in-game currency called Cash. Warzone supports up to 150 players in a single game, exceeding the typical size of 100 players seen in other Battle Royale titles.
Battle Royale mode is similar to other titles in the genre in that players compete on a constantly shrinking map to be the last remaining player. As the game progresses and the players are eliminated, the playable area shrinks and forces the remaining players into smaller spaces. In Warfare, non-playable areas are contaminated with a green gas that depletes health and ultimately kills the player if he doesn’t return to the playable safe area. Unlike other titles, Call of Duty: Warzone introduces a new respawn mechanic, an increased emphasis on vehicles, and a new in-game currency mechanic.
The death of the character in Warzone does not necessarily translate into player defeat as in other titles. Instead, Warzone offers respawn mechanics that players can take advantage of in several ways.. The winner of this match reappears in the game. Other respawn methods are available using the in-game currency system. Players can use in-game currency to buy respawn tokens for themselves or other players if the Gulag mechanics don’t revive them.
In addition to that, there will also be a game mode called “Plunder”, where teams have to search for stacks of cash spread across the map to accumulate $ 1 million. Once found, the game goes into overtime, with all cash sums doubled, and the team that has collected the most money when the clock runs out is declared the winner. Players will reappear in game mode automatically.
Call of Duty: Warzone Announcement and release
Warzone was launched on March 10, 2020, after a series of technical issues and links in the previous month. The game’s existence had been leaked a month earlier by a Reddit post, and a software glitch that same month briefly let players see an earlier version of the battle map. On March 8, 2020, two days before launch, YouTube broadcaster Chaos posted an 11-minute video claiming to feature gameplay of the previously unreleased Warzone title. The video was removed, and on March 9, Warzone editor Activision officially announced that the game would be released on March 10.
